Dedenne

Is it...oh yes, it is! More filler!

Ever since I first saw Dedenne, it always struck me as being based on Pikachu. Well, I mean, every Pikaclone is obviously based on Pikachu, but this one in particular is quite reminiscent of the squat, round design used in the early days of Gen 1. While it might strike some as the most unoriginal Pikaclone yet, in a way I actually quite like it for this fact. I prefer fat Pikachu to the slim, occasionally round headed Pikachu of the modern era. This design seems to be a way of bringing that version back, while adding some other small elements to make it different.

But anyways, I just went off on a tangent there. This...is really just the natural conclusion of my thought process. If Dedenne reminds me of a Gen 1 Pikachu, then clearly it should have a sprite like one too, shouldn't it? Hence...this. Offered in grayscale and color, just for accuracy's sake.
